Collecting Keys

  • We will be implementing a minimal-contact key collection and move-in procedure, details of which will be sent to you closer to the time of your appointment.
  • All properties will be cleaned to the standard required prior to yourself moving in. If you aren't happy with the standard of cleaning when you move in, it is important that you contact us immediately.
  • Please come alone to your appointment - do not bring family members or friends, to help us limit the number of people present.

Your keys will be available for you to collect from our office at a pre-defined designated appointment slot, which can be any time on or after the start date of your tenancy, during our office opening hours (12:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, excluding bank holiday).

  • If you are unsure of your tenancy start date, please see the Particulars of your Tenancy Agreement or email us

Before coming to collect the keys, you must have pre-agreed with us a time and date to pick your keys up. These key collection appointments are very important, especially during busy dates such as July 1st, when we have hundreds of key collections taking place. Turning up early or late may result in delays in getting access to the property and moving in.

Please try to inform us at least two weeks before the day that you intend to collect your keys and move in, or as soon as you know for sure. This will help us plan cleaning and maintenance work so that your flat can be ready for you when you move in - if you do not tell us when you intend to move in you may find that your flat is not 100% ready for you.

Please remember your Right to Rent documents for your key collection. We can not release your keys without this (see our Right to Rent page for more information).

All payments must be made before any keys are released. As this is a joint tenancy, if one tenant has not yet paid the first month's rent or deposit, we are unable to release keys to any tenant on the Tenancy Agreement.

Summary of steps:

Pre-key collection

  1. Ensuring that your tenancy application is complete, up to and including signing the Tenancy Agreement
  2. The security deposit has been paid in full (by all tenants)
  3. The first instalment of rent has been paid in full (by all tenants)

Date of key collection:

  1. Make sure it is booked in with us and you have received confirmation of your appointment
  2. Bring your Right to Rent documents
  3. Come alone to your appointment
